The use of laser technology with or without material input, has revolutionized the conventional welding techniques in the mold sector, allowing to repair without resorting to the preheating of the dies and with an insignificant contribution of heat during the filling material supply process. This technology allows to avoid the classic collateral damage caused by TIG welding such as: geometric, distortions, edge burning, etc.
The properties of the laser allows welding of complex areas such as deep and narrow grooves, or internal and external edges. All steels, bronze and copper, aluminum and titanium alloys can be welded. The hardness of the welding layers can reach very high values depending on the type of contribution material used.
The mirror polish is a perfect, extremely fine finish, without any scratch detectable by the naked eye, either in the mold or in the piece.
It is usually required for parts that will be chromed or transparent
The increase in the use of plastic products has generated a greater demand for "mirror finish" in mold tools.
The "mirror" finish of the mold surface must be absolutely free of scratches, pores, roughness.
